The personality behind Tap Button: Zandile Buthelezi!

Zandi Buthelezi where do I start? Now you see this is one designer I know personally, with the bubbly personality, style for days and the big beautiful smile she that one person you would never miss in a room full of people. We worked together at a company the payed us close to nothing but gave us friendship never to be forgotten. Her style was a force to be reckoned with and it was never shock to see her taking over the fashion industry. Here are a few this you need to know about this go getter:

·          Please tell us about yourself? _ Lol oh wow this is always a hard question. I am born and raised in Johannesburg the Eastrand. I love positive people and pretty things. I’m a PR Graduate who found the love of fashion in her second year and decided to intern at the SA Fashion Week to later start her own clothing brand TapButtonsClothing.

·         Why did you decide to become a fashion designer? -  the eager to look good and different has always been my thing and growing up as a Jehovah Witness has inspired the classy, presentable and respectful women in me. But while I was interning at SA Fashion Week (great experience) I saw a gap in the fashion industry and I realized that was an opportunity to introduce something in the fashion market, in hope that it will still get attention from big fashion houses.

·         What were your inspirations for your designs? - inspiration to start the brand was my sister Lisa, voluptuous women in Africa and the colors and fabrics we have in the African continent and for designs definitely COMFORTABILITY in one’s skin.

·         How did you select the materials you used? - I select something that would look good on your body and for people to have the wow factor because of the garment. I also choose fabric that has color just makes me happy.

·         What is your target market and why? - voluptuous women was a beginning factor and still remains my first priority. I feel like there's not much attention or hype around being a different size than skinny. We also need to be celebrated being a size 38 and be seen as sexy because we are African and build confidence that even if you don't find what you want in a store because they don't cater for you well TapButtonsClothing has your back because you our first priority. I cater for all shapes and sizes now and all thanks to everyone who's just believed in the brand and wanted to be a part of it.

·         What are your plans for the future? -'When everything in life has passed. I would like to study fashion and broaden my knowledge with this specific field because I believe in the vision I have and I'm convinced to show and make other countries believe that this is the country where creatives were born. I'd also like the opportunity to be featured in one of the fashion weeks because of the talent I think I have and not be shut down because of a piece of paper that proves that I can do but my work speaks for itself. I will showcase my range and can be purchased online at ranco boutique mid-November.

check her on Facebook her name is Zandile Buthelezi.

A life half lived.

" When you start something and you never finish it, that says a lot about your character " those are the words I heard from my sister during her bridal shower on 23 Sept 2017. I took a moment to introspect and oh goodness she was talking about me, I start things and I never finish those things: I come up with business ideas but I will never start that project, I start blogs and I will spend another year without blogging... could this be the reason why my relationships just end out of nowhere. I have change my blog so many times because I want perfection, but everything that is perfected started with a small step of imperfection. All good things take time, as long as you are making a decision to take a step in to the right direction you shall not fail. Everyone has to start at some point and I am making a choice to start and to finish what I start. I refused to take my dream to the grave, I refuse to die living behind a half lived life.  S T A R T T O F I N I S H !...
